Aquafit Instructor

We are seeking a part time Aquafit Instructor to join our Aquatics Team. As an Aquafit Instructor you will deliver a welcoming and motivating environment for members through Aquafit instruction. You will be a part of our Aquatics Team providing a safe, enjoyable atmosphere with the highest standards in cleanliness and water quality, where Glencoe members of all ages can receive instruction and supervision by highly qualified instructors.                              

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver safe and motivating Aquafit instruction for members with varying skill levels  
  • Instruct fun and captivating class formats by planning suitable music and instruction that engages each class  
  • Actively communicate The Glencoe Club activities and notices where required  
  • Provide positive ongoing feedback and education to class participants  
  • Ensure the Aquatics physical areas are well appointed, clean and maintained for lessons  
  • Proactively plan coverage of classes utilizing The Glencoe Club Aquafit instructor list as needed  

Qualifications: 

  • AFLCA/CALA or equivalent 
  • Previous Aquatic experience is considered an asset 
  • A fun, energetic and engaging teaching style 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification

Additional Details: 

This is a Part Time position that reports to the Aquatics Director. The successful applicants must be available on Thursdays from 8am-10am and may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required. 

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a Vulnerable Sector Check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
