We are seeking a Part Time Childminding Floor Team Lead (Weekend) who will support the employees of the Childminding Department during weekends. As the Childminding Weekend Floor Team Lead you will assist in the area of child development, mentor, and guide, and support the team and focused on delivering a high level of service that meet or exceed member expectations. You will deliver exceptional experiences in all programs and services and will constantly aspire to create a second home environment for our members, guests, and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and motivate the Childminding team to their fullest potential, ensuring synergy between all team members
- Ensure program and service excellence by focusing on a fun, stimulating, safe, experience for all children & guests by supervising children and engaging play
- Communicate and inform new parents/ members about Childminding Services, rules, and regulations, and provide tour of area when visiting for the first time
- Professionally and effectively address members and employee concerns and needs in a timely manner
- Schedule adequate coverage for caregivers when absent and be the main point of contact on weekends
- Uphold compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards, Fire and Emergency Policies and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations (AHS for Childcare facilities)
Qualifications:
- A proven record of accomplishment, with minimum of 2 years in a Childcare Program.
- Experience working in a recreation or sport facility is an asset, with a personal focus on health and wellness.
- Preferred level of education from a recognized institute that equates to a: ECE 2, formerly known as Alberta Child Development Worker, or level 2 and/or knowledge, skills and ability from life experiences in group care.
- Current certification in Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED
- Strong leadership, communication, writing and organization skills, with the ability to guide, train and motivate teams
- Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector – obtainable upon hire

Additional Details:
This is a Part Time Weekend position that reports to the Childcare and Licensed Programs Director. The successful candidate will work Saturday and Sunday with the opportunity for more evening work and substituting in Preschool & Out of School Care Programs.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
