Junior Summer Day Camp Leader

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Summer Day Camp Leader to assist in the delivery of quality, summer day camps at The Glencoe Club. You will provide assistance with activities that are challenging, creative, and safe for the campers delivering exceptional experiences and will constantly aspire to create a second home environment for our members, guests and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising and directing groups of approximately 8-15 children aged 3 to 14.
- Carry out all tasks in a professional and thorough manner (lunches, welcoming parents and campers, assisting fellow leaders and volunteers, etc.)
- Have a full understanding of the way camps operate as outlined in the camp manual
- Assist with daily program activities including age appropriate games, sports, arts and crafts, etc.
- Actively participate in all activities and must be able to supervise from within the pool on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate organizational skills and creativity in planning games, arts and crafts, etc.
- Know the whereabouts of each child in your group at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year previous experience working in a camp setting would be considered an asset
- Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and have a positive attitude
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent service and communication skills
- The ability to problem solve
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C
- Confident swimmer capable of supporting water-based activities safely

Additional Details:
This is a temporary, full time position, with hours of work depending on program registration. The successful applicant must be available from June 22 to August 14, 2026, Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector background check, and a Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certification.
