We are seeking a Full-Time Line Cook to join our Argyle Kitchen Team. Argyle is our upscale, full-service restaurant outlet, where members enjoy thoughtfully prepared dishes in a refined dining environment. As a Line Cook, you will work as part of a professional kitchen team to prepare, cook, and plate high-quality menu items while contributing to a diverse menu and exceptional member dining experience. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, values consistency and presentation, and is looking to further develop their culinary skills in a quality-focused kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Kitchen Team members to execute thoughtfully prepared, high-quality dishes with consistency, attention to detail, and pride in presentation
- Leverage culinary techniques to prepare a variety of menu items in accordance with Glencoe standard recipes, quality expectations, and presentation requirements
- Prepare Mise en Place for service including intricately cutting up vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces, while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain well-stocked, organized prep and service stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and supplies to support seamless kitchen operations
- Proactively execute and time the preparation of high-quality dishes to ensure consistent quality, efficient service, and coordinated delivery to the table
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen environment; with experience in an elevated dining setting considered a strong asset
- A Journeyman Seal or working towards a Red Seal certification is considered an asset
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in within a fast-paced kitchen environment, including recipes, prep lists, service direction, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements
- Intermediate English communication skills are required to ensure clear understanding of instructions in a fast-paced kitchen environment, particularly as they relate to health and safety, food handling, sanitation, and effective teamwork
- Alberta Food Safety Basics certificate or comparable certificate
- Ability to stand and walk comfortably for the duration of the shift, with the capacity to repetitively lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 50 lbs

Additional Details:
This is a full-time position that reports to Argyle’s Chef de Cuisine. The successful candidate must have open availability for morning, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as a Respect in the Workplace certification prior to commencing employment.
