The Glencoe Club is currently seeking a Part Time Grounds Assistant. You will work as a part of the Operations/Maintenance Team and you will be responsible for delivering exceptional experience through grounds maintenance at The Glencoe Club. You will focus on ensuring that our club grounds meet or exceed member expectations and will assist with various maintenance tasks throughout the Club.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all parking and grounds areas in a neat and tidy manner by removing any garbage from within the hedge, gardens, and grounds
- Ensure that all entrances and parking areas are clear of snow during winter months
- Apply sand and ice melt to all entrances and icy areas to ensure safe footing
- Collaborate with the Head Gardener with spring/summer planting, ongoing care and maintenance of planters
- Provide assistance to the Maintenance with various tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Excellent communication, writing and public speaking skills
- A diplomatic personality able to foster relationships with members and employees
- A team player who can be part of a team and execute exceptional service
- High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity
- Excellent member service and interpersonal skills

Additional Details:
This is a Part Time position that reports to the Facilities Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays with primary hours during the daytime Saturday through Wednesday.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a Vulnerable Sector Check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
