The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is offering full-time and part-time seasonal Horticulture team positions for the 2025 golf season. Start and end dates are negotiable, but the golf season typically runs from late April to late October with the potential to work further into the season depending on the weather and the candidate’s experience. As a part of the Horticulture team, you will be involved in the care and maintenance of annual planters, garden beds, shrubs, ornamental trees, and food production. Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting and establishing annuals in landscape beds and planters
- Participate in ongoing maintenance of perennial landscape beds and shrubs including watering, pruning, transplanting
- Be involved in the building of capital enhancements, landscape beds, drainage, raingardens
- Course clean-up and other detail work with hand tools and small equipment
- Perform ongoing maintenance and harvest related tasks for fruit and vegetable production
- Operate of various walking and ride-on type mowers
Qualifications:
- Must have a positive attitude and have a willingness to learn new skills and methods
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment, maintaining quality and working effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks (raking, weeding, shoveling, walking)
- Must be comfortable lifting heavy supplies weighing up to 40lbs and performing the duties of the position throughout the shift, including in inclement weather
- Knowledge of plants and growing particularity of food crops – is an asset – no experience is required
- A valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation as there is no public transportation available to our location

Additional Details:
These are seasonal full-time and part-time positions that report to the Senior Assistant Superintendents. Shifts vary from early morning to evenings throughout the week and weekend, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace certification prior to commencing employment.
