Seasonal 29 Degrees Poolside Bartender

The Glencoe Club is seeking a part-time, seasonal Bartender to join our 29 Degrees Team for the 2026 Summer season. As a Bartender, you will create exceptional experiences for our members and guests by providing premium beverage offerings, high service levels, and working on a team of serviced focused individuals in a dynamic, fast paced environment.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver prompt, professional, and friendly service to members and guests, always ensuring a high standard of hospitality 
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to specification, ensuring consistency and quality 
  • Possess full knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including the ability to make informed recommendations and upsell when appropriate 
  • Collaborate closely with the serving team to create a seamless guest experience, assisting as needed to exceed service expectations 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to opening and closing procedures and daily operational tasks 
  • Support event and banquet functions, including setup, service, and teardown as required 
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed and communicating inventory levels or shortages to supervisors 
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including those outlined by Glencoe Club, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, and the Alberta Gaming, Liquor Commission 

Qualifications: 

  • ProServe Certification is required  
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment (golf course or club experience considered an asset) 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills while displaying an energetic, enthusiastic and positive attitude  
  • Proven track record of creating exceptional experiences 
  • Must be comfortable with the duties of the position for the duration of the shift and lift heavy supplies weighing up to 50lbs 
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification is considered an asset

Additional Details: 

This is a part-time, Seasonal position that reports to the Banquet Floor Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
