Server Assistant

We are seeking Part Time Food & Beverage Server Assistants who are highly motivated with a strong passion for the Food & Beverage industry combined with exceptional service skills in this innovative dining space. You will aspire to go above and beyond for our members and guests, providing them with exceptional and unforgettable experiences in the Argyle Kitchen + Patio.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and seating Members
  • Taking and organizing reservations
  • Bidding the group farewell upon completion of their meal and asking about their experience
  • Bussing as necessary to free up tables
  • Ensures adherence and execution of Authentic Hospitality Guide
  • Food running to assist servers
  • Support the server team during service by warmly welcoming members and guests, promptly delivering food and beverages, and assisting with table clearing and cleaning
  • Provide service excellence to members and guests by maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ensures compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards, the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission License requirements
  • Actively contribute to department teamwork and collaboration to deliver exceptional dining experiences
  • Ensure timely and effective two-way communication (verbal and written) between members, staff and supervisor
  • Address member concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to a supervisor when necessary
  • Ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy periods and managing guest requests.
  • Other assignments as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Food Safety Training is an asset
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience in a fast-paced service environment is an asset
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills demonstrated in fast-paced service environments.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail including professionalism, presentation, etiquette, diplomacy, and tact within the workplace at all times with members, guests, and team members
  • ProServe Certification is an asset

Additional Details:

This is a Part Time position that report to the Restaurant Experience Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace certification prior to commencing employment.
