We are seeking a Temporary Assistant Tennis Professional (12 Month Contract). As an Assistant Tennis Professional, you’ll collaborate with the Tennis Director and the Tennis Professional Team to enhance the experience for tennis players of all levels. On the court, you’ll inspire and coach players through dynamic sessions and engaging drills, while off the court, you’ll handle essential administrative tasks such as billing, program planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Provide service excellence through engaging and high quality tennis instruction during lessons, programs and tournaments to members of all ages and skill levels
- Develop Junior Tennis Athletes through fundamental technical skills, physical conditioning, preparation for competition, and coaching at tournaments
- Create a family and fun focus in programs, activities and services while prioritizing safety by upholding rules and regulations for participants to adhere to
- Contribute to the overall goals of the Tennis Department through: effective and timely communication, supporting other professionals, upkeep of tennis equipment and ensuring the safety of staff, members and guests
- Promptly address member questions and concerns and if necessary, refer them to a supervisor to ensure their inquiry is attended to
- Fulfill essential administrative tasks such as lesson billing, program planning and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Minimum Level I Tennis Canada Club Professional
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience coaching/instructing Tennis at a variety of ages
- Playing experience at a National or International competitive tennis level is an asset
- Experience in planning, implementing and executing programs from the idea stage
- Excellent, member service, interpersonal skills and communication
- Experience organizing tournaments and leagues of all sizes is an asset
- Ability to work as a part of a larger team of Tennis Professionals

Additional Details:
This is a Temporary Full Time position that report to the Tennis Director. This position will go from approximately November 1st, 2024 to October 31st, 2025. Compensation structure will be base salary + commissions. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a vulnerable sector check, Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
