We are seeking a Temporary Gators Director to join our Aquatics Team at The Glencoe Club and oversees the Club’s competitive swim club, The Glencoe Gators. As the Temporary Gators Director you will provide a safe, enjoyable, positive environment where swimmers get the best coaching available in order to grow, excel and continue in the sport of swimming. You will provide a challenging and vital competitive swim program catering to the members of The Glencoe Club. You will assist in the development of annual operating and capital budgets in the Gators program and be responsible for the yearly operational plan. As the Interim Gators Director you will deliver exceptional experiences in all that we do and will constantly aspire to create a second home environment for our members, guests and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Gators coaches and swimmers on an ongoing basis while fostering a positive environment and culture where they can excel while upholding the Glencoe values, mission, and vision
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, being approachable and responsive to questions, feedback, or issues they may have regarding their child’s performance and progress
- Evaluate, enhance and renew programs as required
- Ensure all program information is entered into the online registration system before the registration date
- Preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for responsibility areas achieving the department’s financial goals
- Staff recruitment, on-boarding, performance Management, recognition and succession planning
- Create the coaching team schedule, ensuring accurate payroll processing and HCM program maintenance
Qualifications:
- A proven track record, with minimum of 3 years in a head coach position at a competitive swim club
- Minimum of National Coaching Certification Program 301
- Excellent communication, writing and public speaking skills
- A diplomatic personality able to foster relationships with members, committees and employees.
- Strong leadership skills
- A team player who can lead, organize, engage and train staff effectively
- Innovative approach to programming through critical thinking, collaboration, and evaluation of programs and services
- Strong organizational and administrative skills

Additional Details:
This is a Temporary Full Time salaried position with an expected end date in June 2026. This position reports to the Recreation Manager. This applicant must be flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic.
