Duty Manager

We are seeking a Full Time Duty Manager to join The Glencoe Club. As a Duty Manager, you will represent Management when senior management is absent, and act as a resource for all Club departments, helping ensure all member and employee requests are handled in a prompt and efficient manner. Additionally, you will ensure the standards within the Club are kept up to the expectations of the members and their guests.  

Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard members, guests, and employees through strong knowledge and application of safety, emergency, and first aid procedures along with incident reporting protocols. Escalate critical incidents to senior leadership.
  • Support members and staff with systems such as Northstar, System Admin, and Resolver for bookings and incident management
  • Respond to incidents involving lost or damaged property, theft, or personal injury by completing and submitting incident reports via Resolver and assist with follow-up.
  • Uphold and represent the Club’s standards of conduct by being present, approachable, and taking appropriate action when needed
  • Be a visible and supportive presence throughout the Club, available to resolve issues and maintain an exceptional member experience
  • Stay current with required certifications and maintain cross-training in frontline roles (Sports Desk, Reception, Pro Shop) to support operations as needed 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Leadership experience and confident decision-making in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with members of all ages and internal teams
  • Proficient  computer literacy and the ability to use standard office software (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Resolver, and Northstar)
  • Able to respond quickly to incidents and navigate the facility with ease

Additional Details:

This is a Full Time position that reports to the Duty Manager Supervisor. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.  The primary hours for this position are early weekdays (5:30am Start); Flexibility is appreciated. 

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check, as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
