We are seeking a Full-Time Pastry Cook to join our culinary Team. As a Pastry Cook, you will work in a fast-paced and innovative culinary environment for our members and guests, creating exceptional experiences with every item prepared. Responsibilities:

  • Produce delectable a la cart and banquet desserts, baked breads, muffins, cookies, sweet loaves and laminated doughs
  • Execution, organization and preparation of all menu items for service as per Banquet Event Orders and other requests, ensuring items meet the expected department standards
  • Maintain high food quality, preparation and work area standards that meet Health and Safety and Alberta Health Services standards by ensuring that department training is utilized, opportunities for improvement are addressed and that menu changes have accurate specifications reflected in the kitchen resource materials
  • Provide innovative contribution towards new recipes and offering ideas to enhance current recipes
  • Uphold a positive and professional environment with coworkers, members and guests

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record, with minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Pastry industry
  • A team player who can execute exceptional service with professional interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude with high standards of ethics, honesty and integrity
  • Must be comfortable with the duties of the position for the duration of the shift and lift supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Hotel, Club or Catered Facility experience an asset
  • Food Safe Certification and other required certifications

Additional Details:

This is a full time position that reports to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate will required to work a variety of shifts including weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
