Restaurant Manager

The Glencoe Club is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house operations of Argyle and McCullough’s -two distinct dining venues at the heart of our member experience. Reporting to the Food & Services Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring both outlets consistently deliver the high standard of hospitality our members expect through strong people leadership, sound operational practices, and a genuine commitment to service excellence.

The Restaurant Manager will lead supervisors and front of house teams across both venues, while also contributing to workforce planning, financial performance, and ongoing operational improvement in a fast-paced, member-focused environment
Responsibilities:
- Lead the front of house operations of Argyle and McCullough’s, ensuring both outlets consistently deliver a high-quality member experience and service standard through a cohesive team approach
- Provide hands on leadership, coaching, and development to supervisors and front of house teams across both outlets
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and performance management across both outlets
- Support workforce planning and scheduling across both venues, ensuring staffing levels align with business volumes, service requirements, and labour targets
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve operating procedures, service standards, and hospitality practices across both outlets
- Collaborate with the Food & Services Manager and other departments to support strategic priorities, special events, promotions, and continuous improvement in the member experience
- Lead the financial performance of both venues through active oversight of labour, sales, and operating costs, while ensuring all reporting, billing, gratuity summaries, and payroll submissions are completed accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Current ProServe Certification
- Minimum 5 years of progressive food and beverage experience, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proven experience leading front of house operations, with accountability for service standards, team performance, and financial results
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning and scheduling across multiple outlets, with the ability to align staffing to business volumes and labour targets
- Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read financial reports, interpret variances, and make sound operational decisions
- Experience in recruitment, performance management, coaching, and developing supervisors and front line teams in a hospitality or service environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, food and beverage pairings, and current beverage trends; WSET certification is considered a significant asset

Additional Details:
This is a Full-Time Salaried position that reports to the Food & Services Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
