The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is offering a seasonal full time position within the Golf Shop team for the 2024 Golf Season. As a Shipper/Receiver, you will provide a welcoming environment and exceptional customer service while receiving and recording parts, supplies, materials, equipment, inventory and stock for the golf course. Responsibilities:

  • Provides service excellence to members and guests
  • Receive all product by following the club’s purchase order system
  • Places and processes all special orders in a timely manner to provide the member with the most efficient service in coordination with the Golf Shop Manager
  • Coordinates and carries out defective, warranty returns, and offsite repairs
  • Assists with merchandising and organization of the Golf Shop
  • Maintains inventory accuracy through the receiving of product
  • Assists in completing Purchase Orders in Northstar for the upcoming season

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, written and verbal along with clear and concise communication with vendors
  • A diplomatic personality able to foster relationships with members and employees
  • A team player who can be part of a team and execute exceptional service
  • Experience with Northstar software system is considered an asset
  • High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity
  • Excellent member service and interpersonal skills
  • Ensures adherence to specific area operating policies, programs and/or procedures which shall be consistent with the Club’s general policies

Additional Details:

This is a full time seasonal position that reports to the Golf Shop Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
